Now currently writing their fifth studio album it’s easy to see how in a world of throw away music Smoove & Turrell have not only endured but have strived to build up a worldwide following.

Their first album ‘Antique Soul’ scored two records of the week on BBC Radio 2 with the singles ‘I Can’t Give You Up’ and ‘Beggarman’. It also provided the band with its first ever national playlist on BBC 6 Music with the track ‘You Don’t Know’.

Second album ‘Eccentric Audio’ gained a further two national playlists on BBC Radio 2 with the singles ‘Hard Work’ and ‘Gabriel’, with final single ‘Slow Down’ entering international playlists on TV and radio throughout Europe thanks to MTV Europe and Virgin Media.

The highly acclaimed third album ‘Broken Toys’ once again showed there was no slowing of the bands momentum with singles ‘Will You Be Mine’ and ‘Play to Win’ gaining international playlist selection throughout Europe and beyond.

With the word starting to spread to America, major players ABC and Fox Network both used Smoove + Turrell tracks on huge prime time advertising campaigns for shows such as ‘Pan Am’ and ‘Lucky Ladies’. Other one o° spots on international smash hit TV series ‘The Finder’, ‘World of Jenks’ and ‘Ray Donovan’ followed.

Moving on to Album number four 'Crown Posada' and things pick up dramatically. The first single 'You Could've Been A Lady' is quickly B listed on BBC Radio 2, 6 Music and stations across the globe. The track is played for almost a month on Chris Evan's breakfast show. He himself a big fan of the band. Single number two 'No Point In Trying' is released a month later in the run up to Christmas and gains a C playlist on Radio 2. A national UK and European tour follows rounding 2016 o˛ nicely.

It’s through their dedication to live performance that Smoove & Turrell have really built solid foundations though. Playing at some of the biggest festivals in the UK and Europe (including Glastonbury, Bestival and Trans Musicales in France), plus support slots with the likes of Chic (Nile Rodgers) and Charles Bradley, and worldwide tours in 2015, 2016 and 2017 that has allowed the band to gain a huge and dedicated fan base that only hard work can deliver.
